What You’ll Do
Drive Portfolio-Level Execution
- Partner with portfolio leaders to prioritize initiatives and manage tradeoffs
- Identify where too much work is in flight and push for focus
- Help translate strategy into clear, actionable priorities
Get Into the Work (Not Just Talk About It)
- Work directly within portfolio systems (intake, prioritization, governance)
- Identify bottlenecks and remove systemic blockers
- Support real-time decision-making not just recommendations
Coach & Elevate Portfolio Leadership
- Work side-by-side with existing portfolio managers
- Coach them on:
- Lean Portfolio Management (LPM)
- Flow of value vs. project execution
- Outcome-driven prioritization
- Help leaders shift from managing work → optimizing investment decisions
Align Strategy, Funding, and Execution
- Surface misalignment between:
- Strategic priorities
- Active work
- Funding allocation
- Enable leadership to make clear, fast, and informed decisions
Improve Flow & Outcomes
- Drive improvements in:
- Throughput
- Cycle time
- Predictability
- Focus teams and leadership on delivering value not just activity
What Success Looks Like
- Fewer initiatives in flight, with greater impact
- Clear alignment between strategy and execution
- Faster, more confident leadership decisions
- Portfolio managers operating as true business leaders, not coordinators

What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Proven experience in:
- Portfolio Management, Program Leadership, or Transformation Leadership
- Experience working with enterprise leadership (VP/SVP level)
- Track record of driving real change not just facilitating conversations
Capabilities
- Ability to operate in the details AND at the executive level
- Strong facilitation skills that drive decisions, not just discussion
- Deep understanding of:
- Prioritization frameworks (WSJF, value-based decisioning)
- Flow metrics and system optimization
- Lean Portfolio Management principles
