Forming the Team
- Agile Team
- A small (5–11), cross-functional, self-organizing group with all the skills to define, build, test, and deliver value each iteration.

Agreements
- Working Agreements

- Definition of Done
- An agreed checklist of quality criteria all work must meet to be considered complete.
- Definition of Ready
- Criteria an item must meet before the team commits to it in an iteration.

- An environment where members can speak up, disagree, and admit mistakes without fear, enabling high performance.
Roles
- Product Owner
- Owns and orders the backlog and represents the customer, maximizing the value the team delivers.
- Scrum Master / Team Coach
- A servant leader who facilitates events, removes impediments, and coaches the team.
- Team Members
- The cross-functional people who build and test the increment and collectively own delivery.
Setup
- Setting Up the Backlog
- Creating and ordering an initial backlog of stories so the team has ready, valuable work.
- Team Board
- A visual board (Scrum or Kanban) that makes work, flow, and impediments visible.
