From Executives to Production Teams: Everyone Must Learn the Basics of AI
Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems that can act independently to achieve complex goals with minimal human oversight. Unlike earlier AI that just responded to prompts, agentic AI systems are proactive and autonomous, and they can perceive their environment, reason through problems, and take action. The term "agentic" comes from the word "agency," meaning these systems have the capacity to act purposefully on their own.
Some examples of agentic AI being used:
- Customer Service: An agentic system can handle an entire support request from start to finish, including searching a knowledge base, processing a refund, or escalating a complex issue to a human agent when necessary.
- Cybersecurity: Agents can continuously monitor network traffic, detect anomalies, and take automated actions to block threats in real-time without manual oversight.
- Supply Chain Management: An agent can monitor inventory and weather forecasts, anticipate delivery delays, and automatically reroute shipments to minimize disruptions.
- HR and Recruitment: An AI agent can manage the entire recruitment pipeline by screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and sending follow-up communications autonomously.
To increase your workforce’s AI literacy, Scaled Agile has launched a new course called AI Native Foundations. This 2-day immersive training is designed to give your teams the same baseline fluency global leaders are already building. Participants explore the fundamentals of AI—large language models, prompting, safe adoption practices, and workflow transformation.
Selected as a charter partner, ICON Agility is among the first companies worldwide to teach this groundbreaking program to help organizations immediately start building the skills to work AI into their operations. Don’t miss the chance to be one of the first.
